SOGLA is a social entrepreneurship project that aims to spread social entrepreneurship among the young people and to raise the pioneer young leaders of Turkey in this area.
SOGLA aims to support the YOUNG people to come up with innovative solutions and to support social transformation by its “production” based system and applied modules with the focus of professional coaching, leadership, self development and social entrepreneurship.
What is peculiar to the Social Entrepreneurs?
▪ Their aim is not to do only one project, but to establish sustainable systems to solve the social need or problem they touch. They have the vision and decisiveness to maintain working until they have the solution.
▪ They work like professional leaders and use their leadership and entrepreneurship skills to contribute to the society.
▪ They use the methods of commercial area like marketing, communication, business development for their mission effectively.
▪ The system they set up can gain profit. But, this profit is not used by the shareholders as individual gain. They focus on models to realize a better social transformation instead of focusing on profit. The financial model in which employees can earn money is set up, but the aim is to maintain the system, develop it. By doing this, social benefit is maximized and all the resources are used for this.
The features of a social entrepreneur:

▪ The desire to be successful
▪ Struggle and determination
▪ The desire and skill for taking responsibility and risks
▪ The skill of innovativeness and anticipating opportunities
▪ The skill for planned work and research
▪ The ability to work with others, to confide in them, to give the image of a trustable person
▪ Knowing the minus points and limits and the ability to make use of suggestions
▪ Readiness for working under hard conditions
▪ The desire for developing the self
▪ The ability to have an impact o others and start cooperation
